Coma teary: The City has reserved apace in the lower three floors and
basement of the Main Street side of the former Tresses building for use as a
children's museum. This has been accomplished through a lease agreement
with the owner, JMC Partnere, LLC (Joe Cloutier). The lease, with an option
to purchase, is effective through December 31, 2000. The children's museum
would like additional space on the second floor of the building in exchange
for relinquishing approximately the same
amount of apace on the first floor.
All interested parties a willing tod accept this proposed change. This
Order would authorize the City Manager to execute the necessary agreement
amendments. The Community and Economic Development Comm±ttee has reviewed
this proposed change: and recommends City Council approval.

ORDERED, RHA? WHEREAS, IMC partners, LLC is the owner ofthe Main Street portion
of the former Freeses budding located at 24 - 96 Main Street; Bangor; and
WHEREAS, the City and Partnerships for Healthy Communities entered
into an agreement, dated December 16,1998, in which the City agreed to
enter man an agreement with IMC Farmers, LLC, providing for the lease,
=61 December 31, 2000, with an assignable option to purchase =61
December 31, 2000, of approximately 22,000 square fat of space in the
Main Street portion of the former Freeses building for use as a children's
museum; and
WHEREAS, on March 5, 1999 the City entered into a lease, with an
assignable option to purchase, with MC Partners, LLC for approximately
22,000 square feet of space in the Main Street portion of the former
Freeses building for use as a children's museum; and
WHEREAS, the Lease contains a description of the space allocation of the
22,000 seems feet subject to the Lease; and
WHEREAS, the parties desire m modify the space allocation ad forth in
the Lease:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BANGOR THAT, the City Manager is hereby
authorized m execute, on behalf of the City of Bangor, amendments to the
agreement between the City and Partnerdrips for Healthy Communities
dated December 16, 1998; and the Lease, with an assignable option to
purchase, with MC Panners, LLC dated March 5,1999; providing for a
modification of the approximately 22,000 square feet of space in the Main
Street portion of the former Freeses building for use as a children's
museum, copies of which are on fine in the office of the City Clerk.
