Commentary:
In 1996 the City donated land on Market Street to Habitat for
Humanity.. A house was built and Habitat for Humanity decided that
it did not need all the land that the City had donated, so they
offered to return a portion to the City. This Order authorizes the
acceptance of the deed.
The Finance Committee recommended approval at its July 19th
meeting.

as shown on Tax Map 30, Lot 4G,.from the Habitat for Humanity of
Greater Bangor. A copy of said deed is attached.

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY OF GREATER BANGOR, a charitable corporation organized and
existing under the laws of the State of Maine and having a principal place of business in Bangor,
Penobscot County, Maine, as Grantor for consideration paid, grants to the CITY OF BANGOR,
municipal corporation organized and existing under the laws of the State of Maine, located at
Bangor, Penobscot County, Maine, as Grantee, with Quitclaim Covenant the land in Bangor,
Penobscot County, Maine and more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at an iron pin in the easterly line of Market Street in said Bangor, said imn
pin marking the northeasterly comer of the parcel Previously conveyed by the City of
Bangor to Edmund J. Moosehead, Sc, and Louise N. Moresbcad by release deed dead
October 8, 1981 and recorded in Book 3234, Page 305, Penobsou Registry of Dells;
said iron pin also marking the northeasterly comer of the premises now or formerly
coned by one Bruce Morrison as deurihd in the quitclaim deed fiom Donald DeLuck
to said Morrison dated April 25, 1986 and recorded in Book 3825, Page 101, Petroleum
Registry of Dads; THENCE North 10° 58' 34^ West by and along the westerly line of
said Markel Saida distance of 53.91 feet to an iron pin located at an angle in the
westerly line of said Market Street; THENCE North 78° 48' S" Eau by and along the

This premises being the some premises described in plan dated June 6, 1995 titled
"Disposition Plan for Blake Place- Plan ofLots 1 11, Market Street and Blake Place,
Bangor, Maine" approved by Jim Greer, Registered Land Surveyor.
Bearings in the above description and plan are relErenced to Grid North, Maine State
Coordinate System, Fest Zone, NAD 1927. Said plan and the description herein are
based on instruments oftaord and do not represent a new survey.
EXCEPTING AND RESERVING from the land herein conveyed all public easements for sewers
and utilities as shown on said Plan or otherwise apparent or of record.
FURTHER EXCEPTING AND RESERVING from the above described premises the following
parcel, bounded and described as follows:
Beginning at a pin in the southerly sideline of Market Street and in the northwest comer
of the property deuribed in the deed from the City of Bangor to Habitat for Humanity of
Greater Bangor dated Match 28, 1996 and recorded in Book 6081, Page 338 of the
Penobscot Registry of Deeds; THENCE South 38° 37' 59" West a distance of 223 70
feet to a point; THENCE South 51 ° 21' 37' East a distance of 49.92 feet to a pint;
THENCE Nonh 36° 21' 03' East a distance of 126.82 feet o a point; THENCE North
60" 37 42" East a distance of 55,23 het to a Point; THENCE Noah 3V 36' S 1"Edo a
