Caruso (Tax Map 34, Lot 77) Responsible Department: Legal Commentary: The City acquired title to 21 Fourth Street because of a matured tax lien. Ey Council Order #98-61, passed in December, 1997, the City Manager was directed to take possession of the property. The City demolished the building. Mr. Caruso is an abutter who wishes to purchase one-half of the lot.. He has offered $750.00. The Finance Committee approved the conveyance at its January 19th meeting. Caruso for consideration in the amount of Seven Hundred Fifty Dollars ($750.00)• A copy of said deed is attached hereto. Bradley's plan made in 1829; thence north- westerly on the line of said lot numbered two (2) one hundred eighteen (118) feet to the south- easterly line of the parcel of land sold by S. Everton to Dexter & Mason by deed dated September 19, 1833 and recorded in the Penobscot County Registry of Deeds in Volume 43, Page 11; thence northeasterly, in said southeasterly line of said Dexter & Mason land, twelve and five tenths (12.5) feet to a point; thence southeasterly, parallel to the first mentioned bound, one hundred eighteen (118) feet, more or less, to the northwest line of said Fourth St., thence in said line of Fourth Street twelve and five tenths (12.5) feet to the Point of beginning. Being the southwest half of the same premises described in a deed from Kenneth Gm Tsoulas to George L. Tsoulas dated June 6, 1996 and recorded n the Penobscot County Registry of Deeds in volume 6142, Page 262. Any and all other rights, easements, privileges and appurtenances belonging to the granted estate are hereby conveyed.
