Commentary:
This Order will amend the Employment Agreement between the City of Bangor and City Clerk
Lisa Goodwin. The City Clerk's original employment agreement provided for her to accrue
vacation at the rate of three weeks per year and that the amount of annual vacation accrual
shall increase as provided in the City of Bangor Personnel Rules and Regulations.
This Order, if approved, will amend the City Clerk's employment contract to provide for her to
accrue vacation at the rate of four weeks per year and that the amount of annual vacation
accrual shall increase as provided in the City of Bangor Personnel Rules and Regulations.

(TITLE.) ORDER, Amending Employment Agreement Between the City of Bangor and Lisa
Goodwin
By the City Council of the City of Bangor.
ORDERED,
THAT the Employment Agreement between the City of Bangor and Lisa Goodwin is hereby
amended as follows:
By deleting Section 7 and replacing it with the following:
Section 7. Vacation and Sick Live
Upon commencement of employment, Employee shall have one week of sick time and
one week of vacation time credited to her personal account. Said times shall be available for
immediate use in accordance with established policies.
Thereafter, Employee shall have sick leave credited to her personal account at the same
rate as other employees of Employer. Initially Employee will accrue vacation at the rate of three
weeks per year and the amount of annual vacation accrual shall increase as provided in the City
of Bangor Personnel Rules and Regulations. Effective July 1, 2017 Employee will accrue
vacation at the rate of four weeks per year and the amount of annual vacation accrual shall
increase as provided in the City of Bangor Personnel Rules and Regulations. Effective July 1,
2017 Employee shall have one week of vacation time credited to her personal account.
Vacation leave may be taken by the Employee at any time so long as her absence does not
unreasonably interfere with the operations of the City and such leave is approved in advance by
the Chair of the City Council.

AMENDMENT TO EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT
THIS Amendment to Employment Contract made and entered into this day of July, 2013, by
and between the CITY OF BANGOR (Penobscot County), State of Maine, a municipal
corporation, hereinafter sometimes referred to as "Employer", and Lisa Goodwin, of Lincoln,
State of Maine, hereinafter sometimes referred to as "Employee."
WHEREAS, the City of Bangor and Lisa Goodwin entered into an Employment Contract
dated March 12, 2012 for the purpose of employing Lisa Goodwin as City Clerk for the City of
Bangor; and
WHEREAS, the parties have agreed to amend certain provisions of the Employment
Contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants contained herein, the
parties' agreement to amend the Employment Contract dated March 12, 2012 as follows:

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the City of Bangor has caused this Amendment to be signed and
executed on its behalf by its City Council Chair, and duly attested by its Deputy City Clerk, and
the Employee has signed executed this Amendment, both in duplicate, the day and year first
written above.
