EMfC has agreed to fund the local share of the shelter and the remaining necessary funds will come from available federal grant Ponds. This style of shelter has been used successfully in other locations within the Bus system, most redendy at Bangor Mental Health Institute. Resolve, Apoirooriatina Funds for the Purchase of a Passenger Shelter at Eastern Maine Technical College By noe ay Cooled/ of th City of awwr REW-FVED WHEREAS, The Bus is in need of a passenger shelter at Eastern Maine Technical College; and WHEREAS, funding for this purchase was not Included within the annual Appropriation Resolve but Is available through federal funds administered by the Maine Department of Transportation and monies contributed by the EMTC on the basis of BO% federal and 20% local share; and WHEREAS, the Maine Department of Transportation has approved use of federal funds for this purchase through grant ME -90X-105 and EMTC will provide doe match; NOW, THEREFORE, BE R RESOLVED, THAT an appropriation of $3,095 Is hereby approved for the purchase of one 5' x 8' Metro Style Welding Shelter to be funded from the following revenue sources: Maine Department of Transportation Grant ME -90-X105 totaling $2,476 and EMTC's contribution for the local match of $619; and BE 1T FURTHER ORDERED, THAT the Finance Director shall establishsuch accounts as are required to property record the transactions for this purchase. If federal funds are available for a bus stop, we would be able to provide for the local share of funding as we. discussed. We are willing to act on Nis project as soon as it can be implemented.
