WHEREAS, tre Inroal ercridonmental assessment and legal research has identifiled probable sources of coal Or and environmental problems and sources of potential IHbilty WHEREAS, further environmental vrork and legal aMn b required to determine the extent of the errironmertal damage, dean -up atematves and cosh and to pursue the potentially table source(s). NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CRY OF BANGOR, THAT There Is hereby appropriated the amount of $250,000 from the General Fund's Undesignated Fund Balance for the purpose of completing an environmental assessment of the Penobscot River and adjacent areas and to pursue legal mmedles. The Finance Director Is authorized to establish such accounts as may be necessary for this purpose.
