Recently, Bangor Mental Health Institute contacted The Bus concerning the need for a replacement
passenger welding shdter on Mt. Hope Avenue. This shelter would replace an older shelter whkh had
belonged to BMHI and was removetl far safety and healM issues. BMHI has agreed to fund the lout
share of the shelter and the remaining necessary funds will come from available federal grant funds. This

RESOLVED
WHEREAS, The Bus Is In freed of a passenger shelter for the Bangor Mental Health
Institute (BMHI) to be located on Mt. Hope Avenue; and
WHEREAS, funding for this purchase was not Included within the annual Appropriation
Resolve but is available through federal funds administered by the Maine
Department of Transportation and monies contributed by the BMHI on the
basis of 80% federal and 20% local share; and
WHEREAS, the Maine Department of Transportation has approved use of federal funds
for this purchase through grant ME -90X-105 and the BMHI sham will
provide the match;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT an appropriation of $3,095 is hereby approved
for the purchase of one 5' x 8' Metro Style Waking Shelter to be funded
from the following revenue sources; Maine Departmem. of Transportation
Grant ME -90-X105 totaling $2,476 and BMHI's contribution for the local
match of $619; and
BE IT FURTHER ORDERED, THAT the France Director shall establish such accounts as are
required ro Property record the transactions; for this purchase.

Per our phone conversation, we are in need of bus stop on Mt. Hope Avenue. We have
marry patients and stall use the bus system for their transportation needs.
If federal funds are available for a bus stop, we would be able to provide for the local
share of fulling as we discussed. We are willing to act on this project as soon as it Can be
