Each year the City submits an application to HUD for funding under the Continuum of Care Homeless Aaeistance Grant. As you may recall, we City was awarded $1.06 million last December with new funding of $254,654, and renewal funding ofapproximately $805,000 for the Shelter Plus Care Program. The developmentofa Homeless Continuum of Careis a timeconsuming and suffintmeive process. As with most sound projects of this type, each you a core group of individuals, calling itself the Bangor Alliance for Healthy Hoaxing Options, performs the majority- of the organivng, design, coordinating, and writing of the grant This resolve rerugnlzes the work and time that this group has contributed to the City of Bangor Homeless Continuum of Care, and adds creditability and recognition to its participation as part of the grant application process.
