Iten✓Suintan That the City of Bangor Supporta the Recommenda8on of the Maine not Puseager Corridor
Committee RegaNing the Extension of Rall Paweager Service from Portland to Bangor.
Responsible Department: Engineering
Commentary:
The attached Resolve supports recoraraendations of the Maine Rail Passenger Corridor Committee, to
extend passenger rail service Tom Portland to Bangor. This recommendation basically would ammend
MDOTs Strategic Passenger Trmuporeedon Plan. Bangor and Portland are the two major intermodal
hubs identified in that plan. A passenger rail connection between the two hubs is desireable to complete
the intereaodal network. Passage is recormended.
