Responsible Department: Engineering Commentary: The attached Resolve supports recoraraendations of the Maine Rail Passenger Corridor Committee, to extend passenger rail service Tom Portland to Bangor. This recommendation basically would ammend MDOTs Strategic Passenger Trmuporeedon Plan. Bangor and Portland are the two major intermodal hubs identified in that plan. A passenger rail connection between the two hubs is desireable to complete the intereaodal network. Passage is recormended.
