HomeMy WebLinkAbout2001-08-27 01-346 ORDERItem No. 01-346 Date: August 27. 2001 Item/Subject: ORDER, Authorizing Execution of Amendment to Lease with the State of Maine, Military Bureau Responsible Department: Legal On April 14, 1997 by Council Order 97-186, the City Council approved a lease between the City of Bangor and the State of Maine, Military Bureau. The lease was for 25 years with a possible extension of 25 years. Because of additional improvements and expenditures on the site, the State is requesting a commitment from the Ory m lease the parcel for at least another 52 years. The State Is now requesting an amendment to the lease to protide for a term to 2053. The Business and Economic Development Commitee recommended approval at its meeting on August 21, 2001. This Lease maybe renewed by mutual agreement ofthe parties for an additional twenty-five year pevod running from Ad 15", 2021 to July 10, 2046 under the same terms and conditions." And replacing it with: `70 HAVE AND TO HOLD the said premises from July 15', 1996 to July 10, 2053." In all other respects the Leese between the parties remains in full ionic and effeat.
