Respunable Department Legal/Planning The purpose of this amendment is to eliminate the condition that a property situated in the Rural Residential & Agriculture District be serviced by City water and sewer before such property may be used for a church use. This will permit churches to be built In Me RR&A with subsurface septic systems and wells. Department Head Manager's Comments: The City has several churches currently in the RR&A zone which are on septic systems and wells. Representatives of Mese churches recently appeared before an Infrastructure Committee meeting to support this change which will eliminate Meir grandfathered non -conforming status. At the same meeting, representatives of City Engineering and Code Enforcement indicated that appropriate well and wood systems can be designed depending upon the location and size of the facility.
