Commentary:
Earner this year the Treasurer's Office had been connected by One Mortgage requesOng that the City
accept payment in the amount of approdmately $6,000 owed on the property located at 1322 Essex
Street. The Finance Commg[ee recommended accepting the payment at its meeting on March 21°`
Payment has since been received. Because one of the liens has marched, Council approval is necessary
to release the Citys interest in the property back to the property owners.
The finance Canmittee recommended approval at its meeting on July 18, 2001
There are no outstanding sevrer bills or code Issue.

(TITLE.) ORDER, Authorizing Execution of Municipal Quitclaim Deed- Real
Estate Located at 1322 Essex Street

ORDERED,
THAT Deborah A. Cyr, finance Director, IS hereby authorized and directed, on
behalf of the City of Bangor, to execute a Municipal Quitclaim Deed releasing any
interest the City may have in the real estate lowed at 1322 Essen Street in sald Bangor
by virtue of a matured real estate tax lien recorded in Book 7096, Page 35, Penobscot
County Registry of Deeds. Said deed shall be directed to Gregory F. Rogers and Sandra
Kearns, a copy of old deed being attached hereto.

MUNICIPAL QUITCLAIM DEED
The CITY OF BANGOR, a municipal corporation located in Bangor, Penobscot County,
Maine, as Gramm, for consideration paid, releases to GREGORY F. ROGERS and SANDRA
KEARNS, both of Bangor, Penobscot County, Maine, as Grantees, a certain lot or parcel of land with
the buildings thereon, situate in the Ci If of Bangor, Penobscot County, Maine, and more particularly
described as follows, viz:
Real estate located at 1322 Essex Street in said Bangor and
described in deeds recorded in Volume 1847, Page 277 and
Volume 4854, Page 129, Penobscot Registry of Deeds. Said
real mate is further described in City records ss real estate
account number 923.
Any and all other rights, easements, privileges and appurtenances
belonging In the granted estate are hereby conveyed.
The purpose of this deed is to release to the Grantces any interest the Grantor may have in the
above-described property by virtue of an undischarged real estate fax lien assessed against the Grantees
and recorded in Book 7096, Page 35, Penobscot Registry of Deeds. All public easements or other
public interests in the described premises for roads, sevens, or other purposes are expressly reserved.
The said CIN OF BANGOR has caused this instrument to be sealed with its corporate seal,
and signed in its corporate name by DEBORAH A. CYR. Finance Director, thereunto duly authorized
this - day of July, 2001.
