Commentary:
The City Assessor's evaluation committee (Crowley, Blanchette, Tremble) has completed their
annual performance evaluation of the Assessor. The Committee recommends two amendments
to the employment agreement between the City and the Assessor: (1) a five hundred dollar
($500) increase to his annual travel allowance from $1,500 to $2,000, and (2) authority for him
to pardclpate in the US Air National Guard.
The attached Order will Implement the recommendations of the evaluation committee.

ORDERED,
THAT, the Employment Agreement between the CRy of Bangor and
Benjamin F.
Birch is hereby amended as follows:
Section 6
Outside Actlyrd
Employee shall not participate in any romemployer connected business or
employment without prior notification and approval of the dry Council.
Employer and employee hereby agree that the employee may participate
In teaching assessment related courses through the Bureau of Ta%ation
and my participate in the United States Air National Guard.
Section 10
Travel Exoertse
In addition to the base salary, Employer shall provide a stipend of one
hundred twenty five dollars hundred
and (125.00) one and sixty-sY
dollars and skt-seven cents ff167.67) per month for trwei associated
with field inspection work in the City of Bangor. Employee shall be
responsible for paying liability, property damage and comprehensive
Insurance and paying for operation, maintenance and repair of his vehicle;
and
BE rr FURTHER ORDERED, THAT said mileage stipend shall become effective
Immediately and shall be retroactive to March 230 2000.
