On Wednesday, October 25°, our office was notified of a pending sale of the property at 96 Pier Street
add currently owned by Nancy Mooney, successor in btle W Edward 1. Hughes. A dosing was scheduled
for Thursday, October 20. R appears that there were 1970 and 1971 tax liens that had not been
discharged at the time of payment. In order to accommodate the dosing, a quitclaim deed had to be
issued prior to this Council meeting.
The tax and sewer accounts are current, and there are no code issues with the property.

THAT the actions of the Finance Director and City Solicitor In executing and
delivering a Municipal Quitclaim Deed releasing tax title to property located at 96 Mer Sheet by
virtue of matured municipal real estate tax liens recorded in the Penobscot Registry of Deeds In
Book 2184, Page 649 and Book 2213, Page 601 to Nancy Mooney, successor in interest to
Edward J. Hughes, is hereby ratified and confirmed.
