HomeMy WebLinkAbout2002-09-09 02-338 RESOLVEItem No. 02-338 Date: September 9. 2002 Item/Subject: RESOLVE, Ratifying Execution and Delivery of Municlpal Quitclaim Deed -- Real Estate Located at 46 Shephard Drnre Responsible Department Legal Wastewater Treatment staff were nettled on August 28a of a pending closing on the sale of the property located at 46 Shephard Drive on August 30P. In reviewing the fide, it was discovered that a 1999 sewer lien had not been discharged M the time of payment because of outs riding real estate taxes. The real estate taxes have since been paid. but because the sewer lien has now matured, a quitclaim deed is necessary to release the Qty's interest in the property. In order to accommodate the scheduletl closing, a deed was prepared and recorded on August 29". Both the tax and sewer accounts are current, and there are no code Issues Winn the property. This Resolve will unify the actors of staff. RESOLVE, Ratifying Execution and Delivery of Municipal Quitclaim Deed — Real Estate Located at 46 Shephard Drive By the City Council of the City of Bangor: RESOLVED, THAT the actions of the Finance Director and City Solicitor in executing and delivering a Municipal Quitclaim Deed releasing the Citys interest in real estate located at 46 Shephard Drive by virtue of a matured sewer lien recorded in the Penobscot Registry of Deeds in Book 7120, Page 352 to Richard and Sharon Paul is hereby ratified and affirmed.
