HomeMy WebLinkAbout2002-09-09 02-337 RESOLVEQdD No. 02-337 Date: September 9. 2002 Item/Subject: RESOLVE, Ratifying Execution and Delivery of Municipal Quitclaim Deed -- Real Estate Located at 1026 Kenduskeag Avenue Responsible Department: Legal Treasury staff were notifled of a pending sale of the property located at 1026 Kenduskeag Avenue. In reviewing the title, it was discovered that a 1993 tax lien had not been discharged at the time of payment. Because the lien has now matured, a quitclaim deed Is necessary to release the O ys interest in the property. In order to accommodate a closing before this Council meeting, a deed was preparetl and recorded in late August. There are no outstanding sewer charges or cade Issues with the property. This Resolve will ratify the actions of staff. RESOLVE, Ratifying Execution and Delivery of Municipal Quitclaim Deed -- Real Estate Located at 1026 Kenduskeag Avenue By the City Council of the City of Bangor: RESOLVED, THAT the actions of the Finance Director and City Solicitor in executing and delivering a Municipal Quitclaim Deed releasing the City's interest in real estate located at 1026 Kenduskeag Avenue by virtue of a matured real estate tax lien recorded in the Penobscot Registry of Deeds in Book 5343, Page 312 to Vivian G. Harmon Heirs is hereby ratified and affirmed.
