Commentary:
Members of the Bangor Police Department who were assigned to the Maine Drug Enforcement
Agency (MDEA) were imtrumental in the imestigation that led to this seizure. As a result of an
investigation Rescue Sargerk age 26 of Bangor, was arrested on December 29, 2000 and charged with
TrafBcting In Scheduled Drugs (Marijuana).
Prosecutors In the case filed for forfeiture on an amount of cash that was seed from the
defendant. Because Bangor Police Officers partcipated In this investgation, the Police Department was
entitled to a share of the forfeited assets in this case.
