Commentary:
A sewer lien assessed against property formerly owned by Allan and Cheryl Huston and located at 230
French Street has matured. The Wastewater Treatment Plant has received payment in full, and the
property owners successor in interest, Joy M. Degenhar@, is requesting the back to the property.
Because the lien has matured, Council approval is necessary to release the Qty's interest In the property.
The real estate taxes are current and there are no code Issues with the property.
The Finance Comm'htee recommended approval at its meeting on July 17, 2002.

ORDERED,
THAT Deborah Cyr, Finance Director, is hereby authorized and directed, on behalf
of the City of Bangor, to execute a Municipal Quitclaim Deed releasing any Interest the
City may have In the real estate located at 230 French Street in said Bangor by virtue of
an undischarged sewer lien recorded in Book 7538, Page 108, Penobscot Registry of
Deeds. Said deed shall be directed to Joy M. Degenhardt, successor in interest to Allan
and Cheryl Huston, a copy of said deed being attached hereto.

The CITY OF BANGOR ammticipal corporation located in Bangor, Penobscot County,
Maine, as Grantor, for consideration paid, releases to JOY M. DEGENHARDT, of Bangor, Penobscot
County, Main, successor in insomerw Allan and Cheryl Hrton, as Greater, a certain lot or parcel of
lard with the buildings tbawr, situate in the City of Bangor, Penobscot County, Main, and wore
particularly described as follow, v¢:
Reel estate burned 9230 French Street in add Bangor and
described in adeed recorded in Book 7815, Page 180,
Penobscot County Registry of Deeds. Said real estate is
farther described in City records as Assessor's Map 41,
Lot 24, Sewer Account Number 014-024:
Any and all other rights, easements, privileges and appurtenances
belonging to the granted estate are hereby conveyed.
The purpose of this deed is to release to the Grantee any interest the Gravtur may have in the
abovedrenbedpropertybyvbmeofmmdischwr dsewer lirassessedagainst Allanand Cheryl
Huston and recorded in the Penobscot Registry of Deeds in Book 7538, Page 108. All public
asemeuts or other public interests in the described premises for meds, sewers, or other purposes are

The said CITY OF BANGOR has caused this instrument to be sealed with its corporate seal,
and signed in its corporate name by DEBORAH A. CYR, Finance Director, thereunto duly authorized
