FY02 to FY03.
Responsible Depa llarel Finance/Bu finess and Economic Development
Commentary: The City of Bangor is in the process of hiring marketing communications fins m develop
and implement a marketing program. The Imam was to have the firms under contract prior to the end of
FY02 in order to Wile available funding within the Community and Intergovernmental Affairs and
Economic Development budgets. However, the request far pmp ml and proposal evaluation processes
were delayed in order to insure that necessary funding would be available in FY03 to move forward with
the implementation of this program. Once this funding was assured, we have moved forwartl with and
concluded the selection process. In order m pay fer the development portion of the program with funds
from H02 as planned, it will be necessary to carry, over this funding to FY03.
Total funding to be carried over will be $50,000, with $25,000 coming from Community and
Intergovernmental Affairs, and $25,000 coming from Economk Development. This order will authorize
the Finance Director to carry, over such funds and establish the appropriate accounts.
