of the 2002 Local Law Enforcement Block Grant (LLEBG) Program
Responsible Department: Police
Commentary:
Recently I learned that the City of Bangor was eligible to receive $ 29,895 in federal funds as part of the
2002 tonal Law Enforcement Block Grant Program. These funds on be used for several purposes that
support law enhancement efforts. As required by the grant, I will assemble an advisory boats comprised
of community members to discuss options, and will bring any recommendations forward via the
Government Operations Conchae. There Is a cash match requirement of $ 3,322 that I Intend to obtain
from the federal forfeiture account.

Managees Comments:
Recommend approval. As you are aware, this Is a continuing program through which the Oty has funded
a number of police needs over the last several years. Oiief Winslow will develop a spending plan for
review by Government Operations in the near future. ^
