Item/Subjecb Authorizing the City Manager to enter into an agreement with Shaw House, Inc.
for site control of the Waterworks facility.
Responsible Department: Business and Economic Development
Commentary: We have been working with Shaw House, Inc. for several months on a proposal for
the redevelopment of the Waterworks facility into a multi unit single resident occupant facility. The
proposal is in the early stages and they are progressing with the development of the funding padaage. A
substantial portion of the funding would be generated through Low Income Housing Tax Credits They
have begun the application process, and must show evidence of site control of the subject property
before the application can be evaluated. The site comml shall be for a period of nine (9) months and
may be revoked If the application for tax credits Is rejected
This was brought before the Business and Economic Development Committee which recommended
approval ZL
