The fallowing five resolutions will adopt the H03 Sdmol Deparonent Budget They are as follows:
1. Resolve required by Title 20-A MRSA for the General Fund Budget of $33,173,895.
2. Resolve required by Title 20-A MRSA for the Vocational Education Region #4 operating budget of
$2,148,017 (Rangers assessment will be $397,300 and is included in the Depao n its budget) and
Adult Education Budget of $132,858 (Bangoes share is $6,882).
3. Resolve approving the School Department's Enterprise Fund Budget of $1,806,698. This covers Adult
Education, Food Service, and Reading Assessment Programs.
4. Resolve appmWng the School Department's Special Revenue Fund Budget of $1,989,716. These are
various grant programs.
5. Resolve approving the School Departments Trust and Agency Budget of $1,784,354.

CITY OF BANGOR
(TITLE.) Resgiver Education Appropriation, Bangor School Department, Pursuant to
Title 20-A, Chapter 606, 15601-15619, Maine Revised Statutes Annotated
By the City COUMI of the City of Bangor.
RESOLVED, that the sum of $10,892,235 he appropriated for the State's share of
foundation allocation for school purposes for Me year beginning July 1, 2002 and ending June
30, 2003.
RESOLVED, that the City of Bangor will raise and appropriate as the local share of the
foundation allocation the sum of $14,512,496 for the year beginning July 1, 2002 and ending
June 30, 2003 under the provision of 20-A MRSA 15614.
RESOLVED, that the City of Bangor will raise and appropriate $579,740 as the local share of
debt service for the year beginning July 1, 2002 and ending June 30, 2003.
RESOLVED, that the City of Bangor will mise and appropriate $4,202,195 as additional local
funds under the program of 20-A MRSA 15614.
RESOLVED, that the sum of $208,800 be raised and appropriated for the local share of adult
education for the year beginning July 1, 2002 and ending June 30, 2003.
RESOLVED, to authorize the School Committee to expend, for the fiscal year beginning July 1,
2002 and ending June 30, 2003 for the state -local allocation, unexpended balances, tuition
receipts, local appropriation, stale subsidy, and other receipts for the support of schools
($278,429 from the State share of debt service, $1,800,000 from tuition, rental, and other local
receipts, and $700,000 from 2002-2003 surplus) the sum of $33,173,895.
State of Fact: The purpose of this action is to comply with the State's requirement for local
legislation body votes appropriating funds for education per The 20-A, Chapter 606, 15601.

(TITLE.) Resolve., Vocational Education Region #4 Appropriation Pursuant to Tille 20-A,
Chapter 606,15601-15619, Maine Revised Statutes Annotated
By the City Council of the City of Bangor.
RESOLVED, that the United Technologies Center Region #4 budget for 2002-2003 as
approved by the Cooperative Board be approved in the amount of $2,148,077.00 (Bangors
2002-2003 assessment will be $397,300.00 for operating costs. This amount is included in the
Bangor School Department's 2002-2003 budget.)
RESOLVED, that the United Technologies Center Region #4 budget for Adult Education for
2002-2003 as approved by the Cooperative Board be approved in the amount of $132,858.00
(Bangor's 2002-2003 assessment for Adult Education will the $6,882.00. This amount is
included in the Bangor School Department's 2002-2003 budget.)
Statement of Fact: The purpose of this action is to comply with the State's requirement for local
legislative body votes appropriating funds for education per Title 20-A, Chapter 606, 15601-
15619.

Budget — Enterprise Fund
By the City Council of the City of Bangor:
RESOLVED, that the City of Bangor accept the following categories of funding as provided by
the Maine State Legislature for the year beginning July 1, 2002 and ending June 30,2003, and
approve them as the Bangor School Department's Enterprise Fund Budget for the same fiscal
period. And be it further resolved that the Bangor School Department's Enterprise Fund for
the period of July 1, 2002 to June 30, 2003 is hereby approved as follows in the amount of
$1,8180373.
