As the Council is were, the Maine Any National Guard is undertaking a major project to expand'Rs facilities
at the tiryort. This expansion requires construction of a new 16 -Inch water main to provide fire protection
service. Portiorm of the new main will be in pudic street right-cf-way which was covered by a Wiiry Lowtion
permit granted by Council Order 02-194, passed May 13, 2002. installation of other portions of the rew main
will be along existing streets at the Airport which have never been formally accepted as public ways, and are
technically airport property. Easements are required for water main Installation in these areas.
The attached order authorizes granting the necessary easements, and requires the final form of these
easements be acceptable to the City Solicitor.41 (�

(TITLE.) Order, Granting Easements to Bangor Water District- Unaccepted Streets
at Bangor International Airport
By the Cify CixamV of the City of Bangor.
ORDERED,
THAT, whereas the Bangor Water District will be installing a new 16 Inch water
main to provide fire protection for the Maine National Guard Facility Expansion
project, and;
WHEREAS, portions of the new water main will be installed in and along certain
streets at Bangor International Airport which have never been formally accepted
as public ways, and;
WHEREAS, easements are required for installation of utilfty lines in unaccepted
streets and adjacent airport property;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED, THAT the City Manager is hereby authorized
and directed to execute easements granting rights to the Bangor Water District to
install and maintain a new fire service main on Airport property at the following
general locations: Along the southerly side of Cleveland Avenue, extending
approAmately 700 feet north of Illinois Avenue; approximately 400 feet northerly
along the westerly side of Maine Avenue to Hayes Street; approximately 600 feet
along the northerly side of Hayes Sheat, and;
BE IT FURTHER ORDERED, THAT these easements be in a form acceptable W the
City Solicitor.
