Rasponsible Department: Police Detective Robert Hutchings developed information related to the investigation that led to this seizure. Detective Hutchings, a member of the Bangor Police Department who was assigned to the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency (MDEA) conducted an investigation that resulted in two indiNduals being charged with Unlawfully Trafficking Drugs. Prosecutors in the case filed for forfeiture on an amount of cash that was seizetl from both of the defendants. In December 2001 we mmWed $261.97 which represented Bangors share of forfeited assets from one of the individuals in this case. The $1331.57 accompanying this order represents Bangor's share of forfeited assets from the second Individual. Manager's Comments: Recommend approval.
