of the Federal Equitable Sharing Program.

Commentary:
In the spring of 2000, Detective Robert Hutchings developed Information concerning the illegal
sale of ox Contin odginating from 61 Hersey Avenue in Bangor. A subsequent Investigation revealed that
Stephen Sandborn was selling his wife's prescribed drugs. Detective Hutchings, a member of the Bangor
Police Department who was assigned to the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency (MDEA), conducted the
investigation. Stephen Sanborn was ultimately Merged with Unlawful Trafficking in Schedule "W" Drugs.
Prosecutors in the case filed for forfeiture on the residence. The $25,745.12 represents Bangors
share of forfeited assets resulting from the sale of the property. (The federal government gets 20% plus
expenses, and the remaining amount was split with MDFA.)
