Bangor PD currently supports the Eastern Maine Violent Crimes Task Force by contributing one investigator. The Maine Sate Police, Penobscot County Sheriffs Office, Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco & Firearms, and Hancock County Sheriffs Office also provide officers. Funds would be used W purchase equipment and provide overtime funds for the task force.
