This Order authorizes the Finance Director to execute quitclaim deeds to Michelle & Bradly Libby and Ralph
Hand for the portion of Lancaster Avenue adjacent to their Properties. This portion of Lancaster Avenue was
vacated as a matter of law in 1992 by 23 M.R.S.A. § 3032.
The Finance Committee recommended that the Council approval of this Order at its lune 4, 2003 meeting.

The CITY OF BANGOR a municipal corporation located in Penobscot County, Maine, az Grantor, for
consideration paid, releases to RALPH W. HAND, of Bangor, Penobscot County, Maine, as Grantee, a cousin
IM or parcel of land, situated in the City of Bangor, Penobscot County, Maine, more particularly described as
follows:
Beginning at apoint in the northerly line of Lancaster Avenue one (1) foot easterly of the
southwest corner of a parcel of land dtordibed in a deed from The Merrill Ford Company
to Ralph W. Hand and Lillian W. Hand recorded in the Penobscot County Registry of Dads
in Volume 3522, Page 76; thence easterly, by and along the northerly fine of Lancaster
Avenue, one handed sixty-four (164)f t, more or less, to the west line of Past Broadway
extended; thance southerly, by and along East Broadway extended, twenty-five 25) feet to
the center of Lancaster Avenue; thew westerly, by and along the center of lanmaster
Avenue, one hundred sixty-four (16,1) fidt. mom or to a point in the east line of a one
(1) foot strip of land reserved to Northem Land Company as shown on aplan recorded in the
Penobscot Comfy Registry of foods in Volume 8, Page 19; theoco northerly, by and along .

County, Maine, as Grantee; a certain lot or parcel of land, situated in the City of Bangor, Penobscot County,
Maine, more particularly described as follows;
Beginning at a point on the south line of Lancaster Avenue at the northeast comer of lot #211
as shown m a plan recorded in the Penobscot Comfy Registry of Deeds in Volume 8, Page
19; thence westerly, by and along the south line of Lancaster Avenue one hundred thirty-five
(13 5) feet, mote or less, to the northwest comer of said lot 4211; thence northerly, at fight
angles m me previously mentioned bound, twenty-five (25) feet to the center of Forecaster
