Commentary:
The purpose of these amendments Is M clarify and simplify Me sign ordinance. Some of the changes are
designed W eliminate unnecessary language or m avoid future problems from potentially ambiguous
language. Otites are designed to assist Ne Code Enforcement Office in tie implementation of the ordinance.
Substantive changes include allowing one sign per side of a building above the second floor all for upper floor
tenants in the Downtown Develoment District and allowing temporary sidewalk signs in the Urban Service
and Waterfront Devdopment Districts.
