Commentary:
Mark Nelson, the own¢ of real property located on Cmdey Street, has requested that the City grant him a
quimlant deed to the shaded portion ofGoveley Street Itis portion of Greeley Street was neither built not
reserved by the City: consequently, ownership of this former paper street already passed to the adjacent
property owners by estate in ter. The propose of [his quitclaim deed is e«pnonly recognize that Mr. Nelson
awns the property.
The Finance Committee recommended that the City Council selhorize the City Manager to execute the
attached quitclaim deed at its December 4, 2002 meeting.

MUNICIPAL QUITCLAIM DEED
The CITY OF BANGOR, a municipal corporation located in Penobscot Carlow, Mane, as Grantor,
for consideration pad, releases to MARK NELSON, of Bangor, Penobscot County, Maine, as Grantee, a
certain lot of land situated in the City of Bangor, Penobscot County, Maine, more particularly described as
follows:
A conain lot or parcel of land sheared in the City of Burger, County OfPenobscoL Scare Of
Maine, bounded and described as follows: Beginning at an iron rad on the southerly side.
of Greeley Save as described in Road Book 2, page 184 recorded in the City of Bangor
Engineer's office and the northeast comer of parte] of land described in a deed from Ervin
M. Marston and Ann K. Marston to Beatrice A. Nelson dared June 12, 1985 and recorded
n the Penobscot County Registry of Dads in Volume 3674, Page 317; Mance
southwesterly, by and along the southerly side of Greeley StreeS one hundred forty-eight
(148) feet, more or less, to the am side of Kenduskeag Stream; thence northerly, by and
along the Kenduskeag Stream, forty-nine and five tenths (49.5) Net more or less, to the
northerly line of said Greeley Sven; thence normeas[er]y, by and along said Greeley Sheet,
two hundred Naar (204) fact, more or less to a point; thence southeasterly at right angles to
the previously mentioned bound forty-nine and five tenths (49.5) feet to the south side of
said Greeley Street; thence southwesterly, by and along said Greeley. Street fifty-six (56)
fn to the point of beginning.

Mack Nelson, the owns of real property located on Greeley Street, lots 3 and 3A on the
attached one, box rnprested that tee City grant him a quitclaim deed to the shaded
portion of Greeley Street The Mastovs, the owners of lot 4 on the attached map, also
intend to grant a qunct®m deed of the 56 foot portion of Greeley Street adjacent to their
property to W. Nelson
This portion of Greeley Street was neither built nor reserved by the City; consequently,
ownusbip of this former paper s ren already passed to the adjacent property owners by
stable in 1997. The purpose of this quitclaim deed is expressly recogrdze that Mr.
Nelson owns the property.
Scot[ recommends that dris Committee recommend that the City Council authorve tee
City Manages to execute the attached quitclaim deed.
