This agreement follows the June W, 2004 expiration of the most recent 3 -year agreement Major points of interest include: a 3 year term; rest of living adjus"ents of 2.5% year 1, 2% year 2, and 2% year 3; an increase In safety boot and uniform allowances, clarinration of grievance procedure timeframes and union membership requirements, revisions to out -of -classification pay, a small charge to the vacation accumulation schedule and various other housekeeping changes. The Public Works union has ratified the tentagve agreement. The proposal Is Wthln Ory Council established bargaining guidelines, and it is ready for your formal consideration. The agreement is presented with the recommendation of the Management Negotiating Committee (Harry Courtvis, Dana Wardwell, Jerry Hughes) and I concur as well. This has been reviewed by Council in Executive Session. A copy of the entire agreement Is provided under separate cover In the Council Paces.
