It also authodms the expenditure of up to $3,500 for consulting assistance in evaluating the site. This consulting assistance will be similar m Me preliminary sRe assessments Mat were conducted in 2002 when the City reviewed nine potential locations. WHEREAS, a Petitioners Committee initialed a Petition actor to place a question on the November 20041 ballot of whether the Bangor Police Headquarters should be located at M Main Street; and WHEREAS, the Petitioners Committee was successful in Meir pelNon effort and the question will W on the November ballot; and WHEREAS, another possible site, namely 315 Harlow Street, is worthy of consideration for a Police Headquarters site. - NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BANGOR THAT The Cry Manager, Chief of Police, and City Solicitor are hereby authorized and directed to meet with three members Of the Police Headquaters Petitioners Commidee, said members to be selected by the members of the Committee, for the purpose of investigating the suitability of 315 Harlow Street as a ate for the location of the Police Headquaters and W present their findings to the Bangor City Council no later than October 8, 2009. The City Counal shall consider the finding of this group at its regular meeting of October 11, 2W9 and, if appropriate, shall take action W adopt said Endings and recommendations. BE R FURTHER ORDERED THAT Staff is hereby authorized M expend the funds in an amount not to exceed thirty-five hundred dollars ($3,500) for a preliminary architectural review of the site to determine whether the site is suitable for locating the Reim headquarters building, said evaluation to be shmilar to those performed on other sites in calendar year 2002.
