When MIs occurs, the chances of material spilling from the container or bag are increasetl and the aesthi of the community suffer. In reviewing our cunern solid waste ordinance, Mere is currently no restriction on how far in advance waste may be placed at the cut for collection. Under this proposed amendment, solid waste could not be placed at Me cut prior to 5 p.m.. on the day prior to scheduled collection. Under the existing penalty section of the solid waste code, violators could be subject to a fine of $50 for a first violation, $100 for a second, $250 for a Mira $500 fora forth, and $1,000 for five Armors.
