The attached Council Order is a routine action granting a Utility Location Permit to Uncolnville Telephone
Company to Install overhead and underground fiber optic cable on Gaff Road and Maine Avenue. This
Installation is to serve the new L.L Bean facility on Maine Avenue and will make use of existing overhead
poles and underground conduits. Approval is recammended.
NOTE: No separate public notice of this application Is to be made.

Avenue and Griffin Road as described in the attached permit application; and

Street Opening Regulations and other requirements of the City Engineer.

APPLICATION FOR PLACING BURIED AND
AERIAL FIBER FOR L.L. BEAN
TO: City of Bangor
Lincolnville Communications Inc. respectfully request permission for a location
permit for plating Fiber Optic Cable along and across the following named
public streets and highways: Maine Avenue and Griffin Road
LOCATION: Lincohtville Communications Inc. proposes to place a buried
fiber optic cable starting at the L.L. Bean property on Maine Avenue and
proceeding along Maine Avenue to the intersection of Griffin Road, than along
Griffin Road to the intersection of Union Street An existing AT&T duct will
be utilized to cross the Union Street intersection.The Fiber Optic Cable will
rise on Verizon Pole # 123d and then continue along Griffin Road utilizing
Bangor Hydro and Vedzon's pole line. At the Intersection of Keudusleag
Avenue and Griffin Road the Fiber Optic Cable will be placed in an existing
AT&T splice vault.
See attached maps for work area location and plan of proposed utility location.
The said Fiber Optic Cable to be erected substantially in accordance with the
plan filed herewith marked LC 500-06 dated 8/30/05. The cable shall be placed
at a height of no less than 18 felt from the ground at highway crossings and no
less than 15 feet elsewhere. The buried Fiber Optic will placed at a depth of no
less than 30 inches deep. Pipe pushes will be utilized for paved crossings. All
cables and wires are to be maintained in accordance with the standards of the
National Electric Safety Code.
