Commentary:
This Order will authorize the execution of a Planned Group Development Agreement (PGD) and
Agreement with Merrill Merchants Bank W acquire land for the police station she In return for the OWS
construction of nine parking spaces.
The PGD is necessary W eliminate buffers and setback issues between the abutting property owners,
Merrill Merchants Bank and Hayward Properties, LLC.
The Agreement with Merrill Merchants is necessary W add some land W Me police station site W allow for
the proposed design of the lot. In return, We City, when It does its parking tot, will create nine new
spaces an abutting Merrill Merchants land contiguous with City land.

CITY OF BANGOR
(MILE) ORDER, Authorizing the City Manager to Execute Planned group
Development Agreement and Agreement with Merrill Merchants Bank—
Police Station Site, Main Street

ORDERED,
WHEREAS, the new police station will be constructed on Main Street; and
WHEREAS, the construction of the new police station will require a Planned Group
Development Agreement with abutting property owners and an agreement with Merrill
Merchants to construct parking spaces in exchange for land to be added to the police
station site,
NOW, THEREFORE, By the City Council of the City of Bangor, be It
ORDERED, THAT the City Manager, on behalf of the City of Bangor, is authorized
and directed to execute a Planned Group Development Agreement with Merrill
Merchants Bank and Hayward Properties, LLC and an agreement with Merrill Merchants
Bank to acquire land to add to the police station site in consideration for constructing
nine parking spaces abutting the City's existing parking on site. Said Agreements shall
be in a final form as approved by the City Solicitor or Assistant City Solicitor.
