The Police Department is preparing an application to the Maine Emergency Management Agency (MEMA), which oversees the distribution of Mese funds. Pending approval our intent is to use the funding to purchase a digital data recomer, unintermptible power supply, dispatch consoles, security bollards, bullet resistant glass, and a dosed circuit television system. These Items will Improve our communication system and provide security at the new police headquarters. The Police Department Is preparing an application to the Maine Emergency Management Agency (MEMA), which oversees the distribution of these funds. Pending approval our intent is to use the funding to purchase the following items: • Digital Data Recorder to record, store and provide for retrieval of data related to telephone oils and adio traffic. • UnintenrupUble Power Supply (UPS) for maintaining the integrity of electronic equipment and data storage/retrieval devices within the Police Department • Dispatch Consoles. • External security bollards to protect the entrance, lobby and dispatch areas of the Police Department. • Bullet resistant glass to be located at all counter and transaction windows In the lobby areas of the Police Department to protect the Staff and insure the security of the facility. • Closed circuit N (CCN) system for the monitoring and recording of both the e5ctemal areas of the facility and sensitive/vulnerable areas within the facility, along with the storage and retrieval of associated data. Lt. Gastla and I would like to review this list of recemmendabons with the Finance Committee before we seek approval from MEMA.
