The City is in the process of developing plans and specifications her a naw Police Headquarters guiding to
be located on Main Street and which will incorporate the Bangor Radiator property located at 245 Main.
The City has successfully negotiated an agreement to purchase this property and has been working
closely with Michael and Tammy Cormier, the owners, to identify a property to which the business can be
relocated. The Cormiers have indicated an Interest In relocating their business to City owned property
looted on Maine Avenue near our current Recycling Facility. This Order authorizes a Purchase Option
Agreement between the Cormiers and the City for Me development of this property for the relocated
Danger nuthatch.

(TITLE) ORDER, Authorizing the City Manager to Execute a Purchue Option
Agreement with Miehael and Tammy Cormier

WHEREAS, the City of Bangor is in the process of developing plans and specifications for a
new Police Headquarters Building to be located at 240 Main Street and
WHEREAS, acquintion of the property located at 258 Main Street owned by Michael and
Tammy Cormier is necessary to construct the new Bangor Police Depechnent building; and
WHEREAS, acquisition of 258 Main Street will necessitate the relocation of the Bangor
Roadster business currently operating at 258 Maio Street and
WHEREAS, the City has reached an agreement with Michael and Tammy Cormier to sell
Nem a property on Maine Avenue for the purpose of relocating Bangor Radiator,
NOW, THEREFORE, be it
ORDERED, THAT the City Manager is hereby authorized, on behalf of the City of Bangor,
to execute a Parcbase Option Agreement betweab the City of Banger and Michael and Tammy
Comaer. The Purchase Option Agreement shall provide that Michael and Tammy Cormier have
the option to purchase one acre of City property on Maine Avenue near the City's recycling
center f $54,500; Net the Option shag our to June 15, 2005; and provide time limits for
completion of the development and shall be in a final form approved by the City Solicitor or
Assistant City Solicitor.

property on Maine Avenue for the proven of relocating Bangor Radiator,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE 7 ORDERED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BANGOR
THAT the City Manager is hereby authorized, on behalf of the City of Bangor, to execute a
Purchase Option Agreement between the City of Bangor and Michael and Tammy Cormier, said
option to be in a form approved by the City Soldier or Assistant City Solicitor.
