Commentary:
Members of the Bangor Police Patrol Division responded to an incident at the Days Inn on Odlin
Road on Idly 23, 2004. A search incident led to Me arrest of Steven Metz who was carrying a number of
items associated with drug trafficking and a large amount of cash. Mr. Metz was charged with
possession of scheduled drugs. As a result of his conviction, the Police Department may be entitled to
$1,000 of the forfefted assets.

NOW COMES the City of Bangor, Maine, by and through its legislative body, the
Bourget City Council, and does hereby grant approval pursuant to 15 M.R.S.A. § 5824(3) & §
5826(6) to the transfer &a above captioned De ander ta Rem, namely, One Thousand, dollars
($1,000.00) U.S. Currency, on the grounds that the City of Bangor Ponce Deparhuent did make a
substantial contribution to the investigation of this or a related criminal case.
