Responsible Department: aty Manager The DIV has taken pcescssslon of a property located at 58 Court Street due to matured tax liens. This property has been abandoned by Its prior owner, and we have been unable to contact this individual. The YWCA has expressed interest In acquiring this property W expand parMng for their facility. This request has been reviewed by both the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and at a Council Workshop, where the consensus of the Council was W enter Into negotiations with the Y for this purpose. The attached order would authorize such negotiations. It would also authorize the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee to approve the terms and conditions of a sale. Please also note that the current zoning of the property will not allow for the proposed use. ORDERED, THAT City staff is hereby authorized to enter into negotiations with the YMCA regarding the sale of 58 Court Street for the purpose of expanding parking to support the Y. The Transportation and Infrastructure Committee of the City Council is hereby authorized to approve the final terms and conditions of such sale. Staff is also authorized, should an agreement be reached with the Y, to apply for a rezoning of the property to accommodate its proposed use.
