Responsible Department: Airport Commentary: The budget for fiscal 2004 anticipated that the Airport would use $15,000 of reserves. Instead, it is anticipated that $1.8 million will be added to reserves It is prudent to use some of these unanticipated funds to improve the infrastructure of the Airport. Improvements would include $250,000 for construction of T -hangars, $237,500 to build a fuel truck containment arca, $130,000 to upgrade the electrical system in Dock 10, $125,300 to expand the fuel hydrant system, $120,000 to replace the roof over the concourse at gates 4 and 6 in the international terminal, and $117,200 for a variety of equipment replacements and upgrades. The construction of T -hangars and expansion of the hydrant system will generate Rebecca Huno Department Head Manager's Comments: This has been discussed as a part of the FY05 budget process. Utilizing these unanticipated revenues from the current year to undertake needed capital improvements will reduce the amount required from the Fy05 budget and still allow for a considerable addition to Airport reserves at the close of FY04.
