As part of the budget adoption process each spring, the City Council customarily considers a wage
adjustment to the non-union pay sales. The proposed Fy05 budget Includes funding to protide a two
and one-half percent (2.5%) adjustment to those sales. This percentage also parallels the wage
increase induced In the three continuing union contracts.
The Order would authorize the Qty Manager to Implement the adjustment for the first full pay period in
July, Me beginning of the City's new fiscal year.
