This project calls for the support of the elected officials overseeing such operation m formally, accept a Project Charter and Glee of Good Practice that will be used as the foundation for the Environmental Management System. Resolve, Supporting the Wastewater Treatment Plant Biosolids Environmental Management System WHEREAS, the City of Bangor has along history of biosolids reuse dating back to 1974; and WHEREAS, the City wishes W provide a foundation for this practice to continue; and WHEREAS, the National Bicsolids Partnership provides the vehicle for such foundation through a Blosolids Environmental Management System; and WHEREAS; the Project Charter outlines the purpose of the Biosolids Environmental Management System and the responsible City positions which should be supported by its elected officials; and WHEREAS, a Code of Good Practice outlining the prindpals of conduct and goals of the Bbsolids Environmental Management System is also supported by its elected officials; and WHEREAS, the Biosolids Environment Management System, in part, will provide doc imentatlon supporting the City's continued efforts not only to protect the quality of the blosolids but also to Improve the quality of the biosolids. The trained plant will fans its available resources to produce Class A biosblids. Further, it shall be the policy of the treatment Plant to promote and prick a the beneficial use of biosolids and the reueelrecyclirg of resources. The treatment plant will strive to maintain, improve and prated the environment through its treatmenflproduction of biosolas.
