Following these Informal discussions R became known that as a Certified Local 13ovemment, the City of Bangor was eligible to receive federal funding, through Maine Historic Preservation. On January 29 we were notified by the Maine Historic Preservation Commission we were eligible to receive $3,200.00 In support of an educational brochure about the Citys historic properties and preservation ordinance. The matching portion of the grant will be provided through the work of the Taal Commission Members and the staff of pie Code Enforcement Office. This project was given preliminary review by the Infrastructure and Oevdapnent Support Committee lost fall. ORDERED, WHEREAS, the State of Maine through Maine Historic Preservation has made grant funds available to Certified Local Government Historic Preservation programs far educational and outreach programs; and WHEREAS, the City's Historic Preservation Commission wishes to apply for grant funding to develop an educational brochure speck to Bangor's Historic preservation efforts.
