ORDERED,
WHEREAS, on February 23, 2004, the City Councilors of the Ory of Bangor voted
passage of Council Ordinance 04-77, Amending Chapter 61, Alcohol and
Entertainment, Article II, Special Amusement Permits § 61-174 Live
Entertainment Regulated; Chapter 228, Articie W, Regulating Commercial
Displays of Nudity, § 228-14D Location and Standards, § 228-150 Conduct,
and § 228-17, Existing Establishment; and
WHEREAS, on February 26, 2004, the City Council of the City of Bangor voted to
reconsider Council Order 0477; and
WHEREAS, on February 26, 2004, the Oty Council of the City of Bangor voted not to
pass Council Order 0477; and
WHEREAS, bemuse of the public interest in the issue of permitting the sale of alcohol
in establishments permitted to offer nude entertainment, It is In the public
interest to alloy the citizens of Bangor to vote on this issue.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED BY THE CRY COUNCIL OF THE CRY OF BANGOR,
THAT% the offices of the City Solicitor and City Clerk shall begin the
process or the submission of the proposed charges set forth in Council
Ordinance 09-77 to be voted on by the citizens of the City of Bangor at a
municipal election pursuant to the Code of the City of Bangor § 18-10.
