Bangor Evangelical Church is requesting a release dead from the City for a potion of property they are
selling to help finance the construction of a new church. Some of the earlier deeds for the property
contain reverter language which conveys the property back to the City should it cease being used for
church purposes. In 2001 the City issuetl a release deed for the same type of Issue to the church.
The finance Committee recommended staff approval at its meeting an December P.

ORDERED,
THAT Edward A. Barrett, City Manager, is authorized to execute a Deed to the
Bangor Evangelical Church for the purpose of releasing any reversionary interest the
City of Bangor may have in a parcel of land on the Finson Road, Bangor (Map R23, Lot
3). Said deed shall be in a form approved by the Office of the City Solicitor.

RELEASE DEED
The CITY OF BANGOR, a municipal coryoration located in Bangor, P®obscot County,
Maine, as Gordon for considnation and, releases to TRUE REVIVAL MWLSTRIES, INC., a
corporation organized and mating under the laws of the Stare of Maine, and having a place of
business in Bangor, County of Penobscot, State of Monte. as Grantee, a certain lot or parcel of
land shoaled fir floe City of Burger, County of Penobscot, State of Mame, being located on the
northwesterly aide ofFmson Road, so called, being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a %inch robot set by Plisga & Day, Laud
Surveyors in 2003 wiUr a plastic identification cap naked
"PLISGA & DAY—PIS 2319" along the northwesterly
sideline of Firum Road, so rated, said robot being S 34-

The purpose of this dead is to release to the Graaree my interest the Grantor may have in
the abovo-described property as referenced in the Warranty Deed from Axel H. Gren to the East
Coast Confetmce of the Evangelical Covenant Church, dated February 2l, 1962 add recorded in
Penobscot County Registry of Deeds in Book 1824, Page 285.
The said CT11 OF BANGOR has crossed this hartursart to be sealed with its corporate
seal, add signed in its corporate name by EDWARD A. BAR LETT, City Manager, thereunw
