Item/Subject: Order -Authorizing the City Manager to accept $156.96 in funds as part
of the Federal Equitable Sharing program

Members of the Bangor Police Department who were assigned to the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency
(MDFA) were instrumental in the investigation that led to this seizure. As a result of an investigation,
Robert Brewer was arrested and dredged with TrafBQing in Scheduled Drugs (Oxycontln).
Prosecutors in the case filed for forfeiture on an amount of cash and property (revelry Rom We "Diamond
Connection') that was seized from the defendant. Because Bangor Police Officers participated in this
investigation, the Police Department was emltled to a share of the forfeited assets in this use. The
above award was received in two checks (56.48 & 100.48). Additional forfeitures are also expected in
Nls case.
