--' high accident location and the roundabout is being constructed to improve safety and efficiency
and provide traffic calming. This is a safety improvement project and requires no local match.
The project requires that some City land be dedicated to establish additional public street right-
of-way

of-way and drainage a" temporary construction easements. The attached Order will
accomplish this. The land area involved will not impact existing leases m G.E. or Airport
operations and facilities.
MDOT anticipates advertising the project far bet as soon as this action is finalized.

(TITLE.) Order, Dedication of City Land for Highway Purpose - MOOT Roundabout
Project- Maine Avenue and Verroard Street -- PIN 011173.00
WHEREAS, the Mahe Department of Transportation will be constructing a roundabout at the
intersection of Maine Avenue, Tums Avenue, and Vermont Avenue to Improve
traffic safety and efficiency; and
WHEREAS, said project will require that some City owned land be dedicated for highway
purposes o establish additional sheet right-of-way and drainage and temporary
construction easements for the project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE 1T ORDERED that, In accordance with 23 M.R.S.A.§ 3022, the following
be established as public sheet right-of-way and added to the Official City Map:
The parcels depicted on sheets 1 and 2 of rightof-way map prepared by the Maine Department
of Transportation dated April, 2006 hided "State AM Highway No. 20 and 21, Maine Avenue and
Vermont Avenue, Bangor Penobscot County Federal Aid Project No. STP -1117(300)X, D.O.T. file
No. 10427" and further identified as follows:
Parcel No. (1) - Land conveyed to the City of Bangor by the University of Maine System by
Quit Claim Deed dated July 31, 2006, encompassing approximately 6,215 square feet.
Parcel No. (2-11- City of Bangor, encompassing approximately 1,830 square feet
Parcel No. (2-2) - City of Bangor, encompassing approximately 9,423 square feet.
Parcel No. (2-31- City of Bangor, encompassing approximately 12, 640 square feet.
AND BE IT FURTHER ORDERED that drainage and temporary construction easements as
depicted on the above -referenced MOOT Right -of -Way map are hereby established.
Specific descriptions and location maps of the above referenced parcels and easements are
attached hereto.

The right, for the duration of the period of the Project construction as
determined by the date of completion of construction according to the records

of the Department of Transportation, to enter upon land outside of and
adjoining the boundary lines of the above -referenced highway to perform the
work as set forth below within the limits defined as -Temporary Construction
Limits- as shown on the above -referenced Right -of -Way map.
Said right may include, but is not limited to, necessary excavating, placing of
fill material, curbing, looming, seeding, paving, installation of structures,
removal of trees, shrubs, bushes and other growth, selective cutting, trimming,
and other necessary incidental work in grading said adjoining land, in addition
to the temporary placement of utility poles including all related fixtures,
erhead wires, guys, etc, in order to allow for project construction in
accordance with all governing regulations and other requirements of law.
