Item/Subject ORDER, Authorizing Acceptance of An Anonymous Gift of $1,172 from a
Bangor Resident
Responsible Department: Community and Economic Development
Commentary:
A Bangor residerd, who wishes W remain anonymous, has given the Oty a check for $1,172 to pay for
the cost of fabricating 12 additional flower boxes to be installed downtown along the Kenduskeag Stream
Canal. Last year Me same donor paid for the fabrication of 28 boxes, and Bangor Center Carporation
had a professional horticulturist select plant material that thrived in this application. Bangor Center is
working with the same horticulhaut this year and anticipates that private donations will pay for all or a
large portion of the annual planting costs for the original 28 boxes and the additional 12. Bangor Public
Works will install the boxes.
