of Health and Human Services Geneml Assistance Administrator to include a mileage allowance
when computing general assistance eligibility. Previously, mileage was not included in our
General Assistance Ordinance as a qualified expense In an applicant's household budget This
amendment will provide for it to become one of the various factors to be considered.
The mileage amount will be initially established at $0.365/mile and will be adjusted to be
consistent with the established State of Maine reimbursement rate for future years.
