Gould, Planning Officer SUBJECT: Amending Official Map Adding Water works Road Council Ordinance 06-06 Please be advised that the Planning Board at its regularly scheduled meeting on November 15, 2005 held a public hearing on the above addition to the Official City Map. Mr. James D. Ring, PE, Cty Engineer representing the City of Bangor indicated this addition to the Official Map is required to allow a crossing of the railroad tracks for the redevelopment of the Waterworks project. Mr. Ring noted that in order for there to be a rail crossing it has to be a public way. The crossing will include signalization and Improvements on State Street and standard railcrossing signals and barriers. Planning Officer Gould explained the typical process and use of the Official City Map. He indicated that the roadway is consistent with the Site Plan approved by the Planning Board and this step merely added this small piece of driveway as a City Street. After a discussion of the location of the driveway and the off-site improvements involved the Planning Hoard voted 5-0 to recommend adding Waterworks Road to the Official City Map.
