Responsible Department Airport Commentary: The City wishes to apply for Airport Improvement Project grant funds available through the Federal Aviation Administration and the Maim Department of Transportation. These funds will be used for the following projects: Reconstruct Cargo Apron -Phase 1 for $2,065,054, Install Deicing Fluid Storage Tank for $106,603, and Purchase Sew Removal Equipment for $107,090, for a total of $2,278,747. Federal funds will cover 95% of the cost. The State of Maine will cover 2 V2% and A" 2 yz %for a total of $2,278,747. Rebecca L. Resolve, Authorizing, Accepting, and Appropriating a Grant from the Federal Aviation Administration in the Amount of $2,278,747 —Airport Improvement Program. WHEREAS, The Airport desires to apply for, accept and appropriate grant funds to improve the infrastructure at Bang& International Airport through the following projects; Reconstruct Cargo Apron -Phase 1 for $2,065,054, Install Deicing Fluid Storage Tank for $106,603, and Purchase Snow Removal Equipment for $107,090 for a total of $2,278,747; and WHEREAS. The City's applications to the Federal Aviation Administration and the Maim Department of Transportation for Airport Improvement Projects to make improvements to the infrastructure at Bangor International Airport have been accepted, and the Federal Aviation Administratrion and the State of Maine have agreed to provide the funds; and WHEREAS, Federal funds will cbver 95% of the cost of the project with an additional 2.5% coming from the State of, Maine and 2.5% from the Airport Revenues, BELTRESOLUED Br7F1EC17'YCOUhUL OFTHECLTYOFH4NGOR, THAT the City Manager is hereby authorized to accept the grants from the Federal Aviation Administration and the State Department of Transportation for the above mentioned projects, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT There is hereby appropriated within the Airport fund the amount of $2,278,747 recognizing these State and Federal grant funds to be used for these projects.
